Christmas 2015

Christmas 2015 was oh so great!
The week leading up to Christmas we drove around town to look at lights...
made our gingerbread house!

Had Dyl & Lauren over for our annual cookie making!

Loved sitting on the couch and looking at our pretty tree every night!  Side note: NEVER buy wrapping paper with glitter.  The red paper looks like it has glitter but it's not really glitter, the silver is ALL glitter!  I'm pretty sure my family and I will be finding glitter in our houses for months to come!!

On Christmas Eve Eve, I went to my grandparents and had a yummy pancake dinner and then helped my Grandmother prep for Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve!  Christmas Eve morning/afternoon we spent with my immediate family.  So much fun eating and opening presents!
My first time making Christmas Punch - so yummy!

Christmas Eve night the whole Mann clan gets together and it's always a blast!  Cole helping Grandad go sit down...how sweet :)

My Secret Santa knows me well :)

This year we played a game where you had to try to open a gift with oven mitts while the next person was rolling dice to get doubles and make it their turn!

Harder than it looks but SOOOO much fun!  There were wrapped boxes inside the boxes so it kept getting harder!

Winner!

Christmas morning!  We slept in a little, opened stockings and had a pancake breakfast!
Christmas afternoon was spent celebrating with my brother and grandparents!

So much fun & too much to eat :)

Christmas night by our tree!  We were worn out from the celebrations.  We watched a movie and looked at our gifts again!

The day after Christmas, Darlene & I ventured out to find decorations, paper, etc for next year!  I found so many great deals on indoor and outdoor stuff!  It was crazier out than I expected (like 100 people outside Hobby Lobby and running through the aisles with shopping carts kind of crazy)!

I can't wait to decorate next year and show you all!  We decorated before but this year we'll be adding another tree and a lot more décor throughout the house!

Sunday was full of church, football, Christmas with Jared's immediate family and then an early bedtime!

We had so much fun celebrating with everyone and enjoying the real reason for the season!

We're working on taking all our decorations down this week and getting our house back in order. I love Christmas but when it's over, I'm over it and ready for our house to be clean and organized again!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!

One Year Anniversary Photos

As part of our one year wedding anniversary celebration, we took photos at our wedding location with our fabulous photographer Rachael Houser Photography.  It was so special returning to our wedding location for the first time and getting to take photos in the same places as our wedding day :)  These are just a few of my favorites!! I'm working on hanging some in our house and absolutely love them!

Christmas Week

It's Christmas week!!! This is one of my favorite weeks of the year :)  All the last minute preparations, shopping trips, movies, lights, etc make this week so fun!  I'm kind of sad that this is the last week of Christmas but I'm also super excited to celebrate :)

This past Saturday was my work Christmas party!  We had a great time!

I already started collecting more Christmas items for next year!  I can't believe how great the sales are already.  I can't wait to pick up a few more items the day after Christmas!

We have Christmas lights, movies, gingerbread houses, cookies and lots of Christmas fun on the agenda this week!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!! Christmas is one week from today!  How crazy is that?!  I'm so excited for it to get here but kind of sad too because this is such a fun time of the year.

1. Christmas Elf

My family and I joke that I'm an elf because of my Christmas obsession and all the shopping, wrapping and decorating I do for myself and them.  I can't get enough!  When my grandmother and I saw these at Macy's last night, we knew it was meant to be!  Love my new Christmas elf shoes :)  So comfy & I jingle all around the house!  We had so much fun shopping & these were the icing on the cake :)

2. Darlene's Birthday

Another favorite this week was celebrating Darlene's birthday!  We had a great dinner and it was fun taking a break and catching up during this busy time!

3. New Hair

I couldn't take my blow dryer anymore and chopped my hair off this week!  It's hard to really see it in this picture but that smile is happy knowing how fast it is to do my hair now!  I'm sure I'll grow it back out eventually but it feels nice to have a fun change before the new year :)

4. Holiday Sheets

We are not flannel people and finding cotton holiday sheets has proven to be almost impossible!  I've been eyeing this Martha Stewart sheets and when I walked in Macy's last night they were on closeout clearance for so cheap!  I squealed with excitement when I saw them and I'm pretty sure I scared the sales girl :)  Luckily when she realized why I did that she totally understood my excitement!  Find them online here.

5. Christmas Week

The week leading up to Christmas is probably my favorite!  Last minute shopping, baking, enjoying the tree, looking at Christmas lights.  So many fun things!  Enjoy the next week, remember the reason for the season and do a snow dance with me for a White Christmas :)

Have a great weekend!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
