When I started shopping for my wedding dress, I wasn't really sure of what I wanted but I did know that I wanted my dress to fit our location. I really wanted all our details to flow & work together. I went to two different dress shops before picking my gown.
The first one I ventured to had really nice consultants but the store had a very commercial feel to it which just wasn't what I was looking for. I found a few dresses there I liked but nothing I was ready to commit to right away.
The next stop was House of White in Newburgh, IN. Let me just tell you that this place was my dream come true! It is a true gem. The staff was absolutely amazing and the store itself is just so beautiful & relaxing. As soon as we walked in for my appointment, I knew this place was so much more my style!
This is where I tried on dresses. Could it be any more beautiful & elegant?
I never once felt rushed or pushed. The owners were wonderful about recommending dresses and really listening to the vision I had for our wedding. I was pretty much open to any dress that fit the plantation feel but there was one type of dress I'd always imagined myself in. After trying on several, I narrowed it down to two. And I'm going to be honest with you, the moment I put my dress on I knew. I just don't think I was ready to "know" yet so I wouldn't commit right away. It fit perfectly, had so many qualities I liked and just made me feel beautiful. I narrowed it down to this option and a more modern dress. They were honestly both gorgeous and I could have gone with either option and have been happy. But I just knew my dress was the one!
Remember me mentioning that I had always dreamed of a certain dress? This was it come to life. It was a gown, strapless and it had pockets. (POCKETS?!?!? Sold.) It was exactly what I wanted and truly made me feel like a bride.
This is the face of a girl who knows she has found the dress!
Love the back of my dress! I had buttons added all the way down the back of my dress. (My grandmother's idea and it turned out beautifully!)

My dress was elegant and classic and everything I had ever dreamed of! I loved every minute of wearing it and am so thankful to have found my perfect dress :)
