Friday Favorites

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

I can't believe it's already the weekend! This short week went by super fast! This weekend should be a pretty good one and I'm ready for 5 o'clock so it can start :)

1. Entourage

Jared and I are currently binge watching Entourage and I am in loveeeee with this show! It's so funny & never gets old :) The Entourage movie comes out in June so I'm watching the series for the first time & Jared's re-watching it to get ready!

If you are looking for a good couples show to binge watch together, I highly recommend this one.

2. Cheesy Chicken, Potato & Broccoli Crockpot Meal

I love creating new crockpot freezer meal recipes for the blog and this is definitely a favorite in our house right now! If you need a super easy & yummy meal, this is it! Love throwing a meal in the crockpot and being able to eat dinner without a lot of work. See the recipe here!

3. The Bachelorette
This season of The Bachelorette is off to a pretty entertaining start! It's always a little slow at the beginning of each season trying to figure out who everyone is and get to know them but things should really get interesting soon! Some of the guys seem nice, others crazy and some just need to go home.

4. Green Tea

LOVE green tea! I have gotten out of the habit of drinking it lately but I am going to start working on eliminating a lot of soda from my diet so I'm going back to the green tea! It's so refreshing and a nice change from just water during the day. Tazo is my favorite brand I've found and I'm hooked :)

5. Weekends with Jared

So glad it's almost the weekend with my husband! We have a pretty relaxing weekend planned and I cannot wait for it to start!

Crockpot Freezer Meal: Cheesy Chicken, Potatoes & Broccoli

It's been a while since I've shared a new crockpot freezer meal recipe with you all! I have been working on some new recipes and this one is so easy & delicious!!

Ingredients

2-3 Chicken Breasts

1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup

1 Bag Frozen Broccoli

1 Bag of Red Potatoes (thinly sliced)

Minced Garlic (to taste)

Velveeta Cheese

Directions

In a one gallon freezer bag, combine chicken, cream of chicken soup, broccoli, potatoes & minced garlic. Freeze. Put the bag in the refrigerator the night before you want to make it to let it defrost. Cook in the crockpot on low for 6 hours. About an hour before it is done, dice up 6-10 oz of velveeta cheese (depending on how much of a cheese lover you are) and mix it into the crockpot. Throw together a few quick sides & dinner is ready!

Our Wedding: Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss & Garter Throw

Today, I am sharing our cake cutting, bouquet toss & garter throw! All fun traditions that I'm glad we did :) One tip for brides to be: We had our bridal party announced, did all the first dances, cake cutting, toasts, garter & bouquet etc. all in a row. That way everyone could just watch it all and then when we were done, we were done and the reception could start. It's so hard to get everyone to pay attention later to these festivities so I'm glad we did it all at the beginning!

The wine we toasted with was a bottle we bought at the winery the day we got engaged and is the same bottle you can see in our engagement pictures in the orchard!

Love Abbe! She and I worked together at Red Lobster for several years in high school and she dates one of my & Jared's friends from high school, Austin.

This might have been one of my favorite moments of the night!

Jared had to come back out to ask me which garter he was supposed to take. Probably should have let him know that before lol. Whoops! It was really funny though.

Friday Favorites

I don't know if I've ever been so happy to see a Friday come!! It has been a loooooooong week and I am so looking forward to a long weekend :)

1. Goodreads!

I had heard a few things about goodreads and decided to check it out! Basically you can find book recommendations, give book reviews and follow your friends to see what they are reading. I love to read and am so excited to find more book recommendations and see what others are reading! Use this link to follow me!

2. Popcorn Seasoning

Last weekend when we went to the movies in Henderson I discovered some new popcorn seasoning that I fell in love with! Just another thing that makes the theater over there better than ours! I was so excited when I found both of them in Kroger the next day! I LOVE popcorn and these seasonings make it extra good!

3. Smoothies

I LOVE strawberry smoothies! Now that it's summer I'm super excited to make them and they are perfect for breakfast or lunch on the go! So easy to make and healthy :)

My Recipe:

1 Cup Strawberries (I buy the frozen)

1 Cup Milk

1 Scoop Whey Protein (really filling!)

1 Kroger Carbmaster Yogurt

I buy the individual carbmaster yogurt instead of a big container for a couple of reasons. It's one less spoon to dirty up because you can just open the container and dump it in the blender! It's just easier to deal with. Also, I buy different flavors (blueberry, strawberry, vanilla, etc) so that I can change up the flavor!

4. The Bachelorette

I am so excited that The Bachelorette is back on! I can't help it, I'm just addicted to this show :) I'm going to be recapping each episode on my blog on Tuesdays this season so if you're a fan of the show please check it out! You can see my blog of episodes 1 & 2 here!

5. Music

I've been in such a music mood lately and thought I would share some of my current favorites with you all!

Our Wedding: Reception Entrance, Dances & Toasts

During dinner, the wedding party and our immediate families ate inside the plantation in the dining room while all our guests dined on the back lawn! I use to help cater weddings and one I was working structured things where the bridal party ate separately and I loved it! I wanted everyone, including us, to be able to really eat after such a long day before going out and joining everyone for dancing! Plus it was nice to get a few more quiet minutes with those closest to us before going out to greet all our guests and do the dances, toasts, bouquet & garter toss, etc.

Our first dance as husband and wife :). Such a sweet moment! Love this man more than anything in the world!

Dancing with my daddy will always be a favorite memory from our wedding day :) it was so nice to share a few minutes just with him on our special day!

The Best Man toast. I believe this might be when Jared's dad was referencing how many times we had broken up and gotten back together over the past 10 years ; ) We all had to laugh because we knew it was true! However this time we just knew :)

MOH toast! When you've been best friends since Kindergarten it makes for a really emotional day in your friendship. Haley's speech was so sweet! She really has been there for every moment of our relationship and is one of our biggest supporters! We started dating the first time in high school at her house!
