Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!! This weekend went by way too fast!

Friday, I went to dinner and Pride & Prejudice at our local theatre with my stepmom & grandmother.  So much fun!! There can never be enough Mr. Darcy :)

So good!!

Saturday, we did a lot of relaxing and then ran a few errands.  We stopped by Yankee Candle for some new fall candles :)  Love when our house smells (and now looks) ready for fall!

Date night Saturday night to see Sully.  We highly recommend this movie!! It was SO good.

Sunday was full of church & lunch to celebrate my brother's birthday :)

Followed by football & lots of relaxing on the couch!  We like to keep our Sunday nights lazy with an at home dinner & relaxing before the week starts.  We were bummed by the Cowboys loss but are still loving that it's football season :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!  It feels more like fall outside here today and I'm loving it!

Also, I've joined YouTube!  I'm excited to share so much more of how I decorate, cook our favorite recipes, projects I'm working on, shopping finds & so much more!  I have SO much to learn on filming, creating these videos and developing content so if you have a channel please send me any tips (for example how to change the still screen below of that awful face I'm making lol). If you are a reader let me know what kinds of topics/videos you would like to see & please subscribe!!  I'm doing this to share more of me and our life with you so I want to know what you want to see or hear about!

Weekend Recap

Hi!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had a pretty great one :)  Before I recap our weekend, tomorrow I will be posting a review of BeautyCounter!  I tried so many of the products and am going to review those for you and even host a little giveaway in tomorrow's post!  Be sure to visit tomorrow morning to read about my new favorite skincare line!

On to the weekend -

Friday started off with a fresh haircut for me :)  A trim and some thinning out made me feel so much better!

That night was full of errands and a nice dinner with my husband.

Saturday morning, we visited a few of the local Parade of Homes and ran into these two!

Saturday afternoon we had lunch with my grandparents, brother & his girlfriend to celebrate my Granny's birthday and father's day for my grandad.  It was a yummy lunch with some of my favorite people.  The view didn't disappoint either!

These two are the best!!

My new favorite dress!  Tea is my and my Granny's special thing so this dress was perfect for this lunch.  Shop it here!

So thankful for this guy!!

Sunday consisted of church, a little pool time with my brother & Lauren and dinner and hangout time with the fam!

Weekend Recap

Today's weekend recap is coming to you a day late!  Yesterday was a crazy day from start to finish and a blog post just wasn't possible!

We had a great holiday weekend & hope you did too!

Friday started off with a girls lunch with Darlene!

I made a Derby pie for work on Friday (Derby weekend is a big deal here in KY and cannot be celebrated without my homemade derby pie)!  It was a huge hit :)

After work, Granny & I enjoyed some mani/pedis.  Nothing like a relaxing mani/pedi after a very long Friday at work!

Jared had to work Friday night so I went and spent some time with my grandparents.  Grandad liked my derby pie too!

Saturday was full of landscaping, errands to be run & some time in MC working on business things!   After being in an office all week, I love being outside on the farm on weekends!

We had a nice dinner in at home and called it a night early after all that!

Lunch with Darlene on Sunday!

My favorite person.

These three.  Not sure what I would do without these guys!!  They take such good care of me :)

Darlene loved all her gifts!

Grandad Charles liked my pie too :)

The afternoon included a visit with my MIL, a trip to the grocery and some business errands.  We followed that up with dinner and the most recent Nashville...holy moly!  Anyone else watch that and shocked at the way things are going?

Our first grilled dinner!  Jared did a great job and I can't wait to enjoy dinner off the grill this summer :)

It was a very full weekend but a good one!  Hope everyone has a great week!  We have a lot to accomplish this week and not a lot of free time so I'm hoping all this rainy weather isn't going to kill my motivation and just make me want to curl up in a blanket & read ha!

The WINNER of the pineapple apron & towels is: ASHLEY SORRICK!
Ashley, I sent you an email about claiming your goodies!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday lovelies!!  I can't believe the weekend is already over.  We had the most amazing, fun weekend together and it went by too fast!

Friday night Jared was working so I had dinner with my grandparents (tacos, yum!) and managed to get a good walk in!

Saturday morning, we headed out early to Louisville!

Yummy lunch at McAllister's on the way!

Spring game time!

We love football season and were excited to get a preview :)  Such a beautiful and perfect day!

Lemonade shake ups and football are my jam.

For the second half, we moved up in the stadium and found some shade because we were getting a little warm!
So excited to finally get to wear a summer dress!

After the game, we did a little shopping for business & personal stuff and then grabbed this...

yummy dinner at the Cheesecake Factory before getting some cheesecake to go and heading home!

Sunday consisted of lunch, meeting with our accountant, quoting some jobs, organizing our home office and having a belated birthday dinner for Lauren!

Love this girl!

Anyone else notice the similarities?  Same shirt, pen tucked in, same glasses...When I looked up at dinner and noticed this I had to have a photo!  Love these two more than they know!

So thankful.

Family!

Today marks 2 years since Jared proposed!  In some ways, it seems so much shorter and in other ways it seems longer.  These have been the best two years of my life!  I cannot put into words how much his love means to me and I'm just so thankful that I get to do life with him every day!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Weekend Recap

I'm recapping this past weekend today and it was a great one!!

On Friday, I worked a half day and then Jared and I traveled to Louisville with my Dad & Darlene to see GARTH!! We were so excited :)

Waiting outside!

Cuties!

I seriously should have been born in Texas on a ranch, I could wear boots & a hat every day!

Dad borrowed my hat for a bit :)  He looks like a Ewing oil man!

Family.

Cardinal fries I tried for the first time!  I didn't eat very many (too many WW points but they were yummy!!)

Ready to go!

Excited for her first concert!

Garth was AMAZING!!  We all had such an awesome time at the concert!

I'm honestly surprised I had a voice after the concert because I was dancing & singing the whole time!

Headed home!  We all had so much fun together and at the concert :)  Such a fun memory to have!!

Unfortunately, Saturday morning I woke up with either food poisoning or the stomach flu...again.  Jared had to landscape so I spent most of the day getting sick or laying down.  It took me down.  It finally eased up in the afternoon so I had a very small dinner with Jared before he went back to the fire station and some time with my grandparents that night (I kept my distance just in case of course).  I slept most of the afternoon and all night though!

Sunday, we mainly laid around (I was still recovering & Jared had a long night at work) but we did grab a yummy lunch with Dad & Darlene and did our grocery shopping for the week!  Afterwards, we just laid around and hung out the rest of the day which was exactly what we both needed :)
Food prepping for the week Sunday night!  Getting sick again inspired me to clean up my diet even more than I have.  I figured my stomach must not be very healthy if I keep getting sick so I'm really focusing on staying under my WW points this week but also doing it with cleaner & more natural foods as much as I can.  Having these snack baggies ready to go saves me a lot of time in the mornings and keeps me from grabbing unhealthy options!

Overall, it was the BEST weekend minus the getting sick part but I would do that all over again to have the rest of the weekend!
