Friday Favorites

If you're reading this I am currently in wedding mode with one of my best friends!! We're probably either up getting ready, doing nails or eating some yummy food preparing for tomorrow. 

Some quick favorites for you all before we get the day's festivities started:

My sweet husband! We had the best time on vacation & I can't wait to recap our trip for you. 5 days of uninterrupted time with this guy is definitely a favorite this week!!

This dress. The rehearsal dinner last night was on a rooftop overlooking Cincinnati and the wedding is pretty formal in general. I scored this dress for $24 (!!!) at Macy's a month or so ago and absolutely love it. It's definitely one I'll be wearing again!

I will be doing a book review soon but wanted to go ahead and share this gem with you all! I am about a third of the way through this book and love it already. If you're looking for a good Christian women's book to read this one is for you! I'm literally nodding my head as I go along thinking was this book literally written for me? 

It's officially fall weather! When we got on our plane in Florida it was perfect summer weather and when we landed at home we walked out to official fall weather. It's been rainy and cloudy and cooling down finally. I'm pumped to officially switch my closets out this week & to make a big batch of soup!

We had the best time at the beach this week!  Full recaps to come on the blog next week.  I even did some video blogging for you all too :)

WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK...

Nothing home cooked that's for sure! It's vacation!!  We are eating out all week & very much looking forward to eating at home as much as possible very soon!

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT...

We're less than a month away from our 2nd wedding anniversary!! So hard to believe.  This time two years ago we were handling all kinds of last minute details, preparing our new house & so excited for our big day to arrive.

My new candles!  The first sign of fall in our house is fall scented candles : )

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO...

For the past few days a lot of this!

But previously, WORK WORK WORK.  Seriously, 2016 has been a year full of hard work for us so far.   It's worth it to reach our goals but boy did we need some time to relax!!

My favorite seasons!! Fall/Winter are my favorite and I'm excited for all the fun to come in the next couple of months.  Cute decorations, holidays, fun events...bring it on!

The return of fall tv!!!  Blue Bloods, Chicago Med/Fire/PD, Grey's, Scandal, TVD, Originals....the list goes on.  Give me all the fall tv!

We have a full DVR of new shows to try when we get home too.  Lethal Weapon, Notorious, This is Us and Designated Survivor are a few.  Have you watched any of these?  Are they good?

Also, I'll be the one permanently glued to the couch on Sunday with a vacation/jet lag/wedding dance party hangover.  Not a good time for someone who can't have caffeine lol :)

Now that fall is in full swing, stores are adding more great items that are perfect for this season!  I'm loving all these pieces but especially those leggings, plaid scarf & bell sleeve top.  All would be great for me for work or play!  What do you think?

Friday Favorites

So excited it's officially fall :)!!!  Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend!  I'm counting down the hours until 5.  Before we head into the weekend, let's talk some Friday Favorites!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!! I'm so excited the weekend is here :)  (as always!)  Hope everyone has lots of fun plans for the weekend ahead! 

Before we start the weekend, I have a few favorites to share with you!

Nordstrom is having a great sale right now.  I personally own the hat & tunic and love both!  I think I have 5 or 6 of those tunics because they're perfect for work or play!  All the other items would be perfect to buy yourself now or to buy now & save for Christmas gifts!

So this week I started something new I've been wanting to do for a long time, a YouTube Channel!!  Please subscribe, let me know what you think and send any content suggestions my way!  I'm really trying to grow this so any support is greatly appreciated!

I love BeautyCounter!!  It is absolutely the best skincare line I've ever used and it is safe to use which makes it even better.  Target is currently carrying some items for a limited time so be sure to check those out online or in store or if you want to order the full size products do so on my friend Carley's site.

If you were drooling over these Vince Camuto Feina booties in the NSale, you need to check out this much cheaper option from Target.  The only difference is they don't have the slit at the top in the front and there is a zipper on the side.  I can't tell that big of a difference honestly (other than the price!).  $50 instead of $160 is definitely a steal!  I love the Feina booties but we're trying to pay off some things so I just can't justify the extra $110!  Be sure to check these out.  So cute!

I have started doing Weight Watchers again (if you want to follow along I post all my workouts/meals on Instagram at @thefitpeacock).  I still have more I want to lose & this program really worked for me so I'm going to do it again!  One of the most important things for me when trying to lose weight is staying hydrated.  These Brita water bottles are my favorite!!  I love that they can filter my water and it helps me keep track of how many ounces of water I'm drinking.
