Closet Organization
I have a lot of clothes. There. I admit it! I have a lot of clothes and that requires serious strategic planning to fit everything in my closet while keeping it looking neat and having the ability to find what I'm looking for in there. I have discovered a few things this year that I am incorporating into my spring cleaning that have been really useful!
1. Non-slip Hangers
I have been considering using these hangers for a while. I just couldn't decide if they were worth it but I finally decided to splurge on a few to see if I liked them. Umm the answer to that would be a definite yes! Not only are these hangers good for any clothes that tend to easily fall off the hanger, they are also a space saver in my closet! These hangers are extremely thin compared to the plastic hangers I normally use. The amount of space my clothes took up greatly decreased using these. As a result, I've basically converted my whole closet to these hangers and LOVE it! I found a great deal on mine at T.J. Maxx and there's always a pretty good supply at our local store! They can also be found here at the Container Store.
2. Swing Arm Pant Hangers
I own a lot of dress pants for my job. Hanging these individually takes up a lot of room! I had been thinking of buying one of these hangers for a while and decided to purchase two and give them a try! They are quite the space saver and it's easier than I expected to get to each pair. I purchased mine at T.J. Maxx when I bought my non-slip hangers but you can find them here at the Container Store (they're on SALE).

3. Tiered Skirt Hanger
Similar to the pant hanger above except for skirts. I purchased mine at T.J. Maxx but they are currently on a great sale here at the Container Store.
4. Day of the week tags
One of the longest processes in getting ready each day for work for me is deciding what to wear. I found these handy tags online so that I can pick out outfits at the beginning of the week and go ahead and have them hanging and ready to go before the week starts. This really helps as a time saver in the mornings! That's not to say that I don't sometimes make a last minute change because I want to wear something else. However, it is nice to have options pre-selected to save time when I can't decide. I found these just by using Google. There are lots of DIY sites with other design/color options.
I am in the process of sorting through my closet to get rid of things and using these organization tools to get it in order! Stay tuned for pictures of the finished product!
Spring Cleaning
I don't know about you but I am in MAJOR spring cleaning mode! I have been working on switching my winter clothes out for my spring & summer clothes and it has been a job! I don't think you realize how many clothes you have until you have to individually pull them all out or put them away as the seasons change. It has become apparent to me that I need to do some serious de-cluttering. Once I get on a cleaning kick it tends to really take off. This closet clean out has since created a desire in me to really clean out my possessions in general. It is amazing to me how much stuff I have acquired through the years! I cleaned out a lot when I moved home but now I realize that must have been a surface job!
In the spirit of getting organized for the season, I am going to be blogging about my cleaning and organization efforts and the tips I have found that make this process easier. In addition, I have a lot of clothes, accessories & jewelry I will be getting rid of as well so if you need any of the above stay tuned because I'll post them on here!
Here's to a month filled with less clutter, more method to the madness and a more organized life!

Jane Iredale
While my hairdresser was styling my hair for the Owensboro Convention Center Gala, I happened to ask if she could just go ahead and do my makeup for me too. It had been a crazy day at work and anything that saved me time made me very happy! The hair salon I go to, Face Forward (highly recommend to anyone looking for a hairstylist), also has Jane Iredale makeup in stock and this is what we used. I loved my makeup for the gala and most of all I loved that it looked pretty much the same at the end of the night as it started out.
Flash forward a few weeks to Junior League Charity Ball! I was running out of the makeup I was currently using and decided to purchase some of the makeup we had used for the Gala. I am in LOVE with my new Jane Iredale makeup! My morning makeup routine takes maybe half the time it used to and I love not having to take my makeup bag with me to work everyday in case I need to touch it up for after work. I do not use all Jane Iredale products, I've mixed a few in with some of my other favorite products and love the results. Below are all of the products I am currently using but the Jane Iredale are definitely my favorites :)
Found at Target
Jane Iredale Golden Glow Mineral Foundation found here or at Face Forward
(also, it's SPF 20 which is just an added benefit!)
Nars Laguna Bronzer found here
Jane Iredale PurePressed Blush in Mocha found here
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil found here
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette found here
Benefit they're Real! Mascara found here
Jane Iredale D20 Hydration Spray found here
(this is what makes the makeup last all day & it's amazing!!)

Clarisonic
For Christmas this year I put a Clarisonic on my list. I had been looking into these for a while but had held off because of the expense. I did a lot of research and decided that it was worth a try and luckily received one for Christmas!
I LOVE my Clarisonic! I always felt like no matter which face wash I used I wasn't getting all my makeup off of my face. That is no longer a problem! It is amazing the difference I can tell in my skin already. I try to only use it once a day, typically at the end of the day when my makeup needs to come off. In the mornings, I use a gentle cleanser. I am very impressed by this product and highly recommend it to everyone! You can find a great deal on the Clarisonic Mia 2 at this link!

Movies, Movies, Movies
It is so difficult to find good, wholesome, clean movies and even more rare to see a good Christian movie coming to local theaters. Imagine my surprise when there are four, FOUR, Christian movies coming to theaters.
I recently saw Son of God and thought it did a pretty great job of trying to show the life of Jesus in a short period of time. Below is a trailer for this movie and I highly recommend going to see it!
There are three more coming out that I'm so pumped to see! The first one is God's Not Dead. I think that this is a storyline that will resonate with a lot of young people and will also encourage open conversation about the love of God. (P.S. it comes out this weekend and I cannot wait!!)
The second movie I cannot wait to see is Heaven Is For Real. I believe this is going to be a great movie! I'm hoping to squeeze in some time to read the book before the movie comes out (Easter).
And last but not least, Noah!
