Easter 2015 Weekend Recap

We had such a fun & love filled Easter weekend!

Friday

"My Redeemer Lives" church play with Dad &  Darlene!  Such an amazing performance.  I honestly forgot it wasn't real.  You could just feel God's presence in our church!

Such a great job!

Saturday

Saturday, we spent a big portion of the day spring cleaning on the house!  We went through our closets &  got rid of so much but I still plan on getting rid of more.  It's so refreshing seeing cleaner, less full & more organized closets :)

I couldn't wait til Sunday & had to
go ahead and give J his Easter basket : )
My awesome husband took me on a date to see Fast & the Furious 7 in the afternoon!  It was so good, we both really enjoyed it!

We did a little Lowe's shopping after for the new business!

We had pizza for dinner while watching the basketball games & I painted my nails for Easter.  Love this color!  It's Sally Hansen Miracle Gel found here in this color.

Sunday

On our way to church!

So special spending Easter as husband and wife this year :)

Friday Favorites

Woohoo!!! It's Friday!  So thankful it's the weekend and super excited for all the fun stuff we have going on this weekend.  Most importantly, Easter!!  Easter is absolutely one of my favorite times of year.  The perfect time to renew your relationship with Christ and be reminded of his unending love, mercy and grace.
Before we officially start our weekend, it's time to share my Friday Favorites with you!

1. Our New Business
We have received so much love and support for our new business and are so thankful!
Learn more on our website (www.greenpeacockowensboro.com) or visit us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

2.  Target Ona Scrunch Ballet Flats

These flats are super cheap & so comfy!  I own the black but they come in 8 different prints and patterns.  Find them here.

3. Spring Clothes
I love seeing all the bright colors out for spring! After wearing so much black this winter, I'm so ready for some pops of color in my wardrobe! See my recap of my first spring shopping trip here.

4. Spring with my husband

We're so happy it's spring! Nice weather means walks after dinner, bike rides, working in our yard and all kinds of fun things we like doing together : )

 5. Golden Oreos

Okay, I used to like chocolate oreos but I'm afraid I've found a new fave - Golden Oreos!  These things are AMAZING!  I am not a candy or sweets person at all but these babies are the exception.  I only let myself have one or two here and there since summer is coming but I think I could eat the whole package lol.

6. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel
I've posted this on my Friday Favorites before but I'm going to do it again because this stuff is THAT good!  I'm currently using this red but am going to go look for a more springy color this weekend.  It's so reasonably priced and works so well!  I chip my polish constantly and this is the best stuff I've ever found.  Plus it dries almost instantly, no heat lamp required.

The Green Peacock

Yesterday was an exciting day in The Peacock Roost!  After months of planning, discussions and hard work we finally were able to announce our new business -- The Green Peacock!
The Green Peacock will serve Owensboro and it's surrounding markets with basic lawn care, Certified Organic fertilization, aeration, mulching and other lawn services.  We are so excited about our unique service line of going green and using strictly Organic fertilizer that is good for the environment and children and pet friendly!  We have partnered with Charlie's Compost to provide the best organic fertilizer for our clients.
We will be serving the private residential and commercial markets so if you know of any individual or businesses that you believe would have an interest in our services, please send them our way!

We are so thankful for all the help we've received from our family & friends in the planning and launching of our new business!  From the business plan to names and equipment choices, we've gotten great feedback and advice and are so very thankful!

What I Wore: Spring Shopping

Spring is here which means it's time to clean out the closets & find a few good staple pieces for this spring/summer season!  I need to thoroughly go through my closets before I do much shopping but Darlene needed some stuff and I am always happy to do some looking so we headed to Evansville yesterday after work!

Arriving at the mall! Please excuse our hair (as you an see it was quite windy!)

I decided to share what I found with you all in case you need some new stuff too :)

Macy's

I liked this Tommy top found here but I have one similar so I decided to pass.  I found the white in store but the navy & pink are available on their website. This is a more fitted top so I would recommend sizing up one size.

Tommy Hilfiger dress found here (on sale $20 off right now!).  Super cute but decided to wait on it until I try on all my summer dresses. (Size Medium)

Tommy Hilfiger button up dress found here.  I already own this dress in two patterns from years past but love the pink with the navy belt!  I didn't purchase it yesterday but wouldn't be surprised if it ended up in my closet soon :)  (For size reference, this is a Medium and I have wider hips so if you do too it's still pretty true to size.  Oh and it's on a major sale right now, $37!!)

The Limited

Thought this top was cute & would be perfect for work or on the weekends with jeans or shorts & wedges.  I couldn't decide on a color though so I decided to wait & order one offline.  Find these here (50% off right now!).

Oh and I found the CUTEST pants y'all.  These are navy blue cropped capris with white piping.  Found here.

I found this super cute top & necklace and used them to try on a few outfits.  Find the top here, necklace here (buy one get one free jewelry right now) and shorts here.  I honestly loved this top & it is only $20 online right now.  However, for being short I have a really long torso so it was just a little too short for me.  So sad it didn't work because it was super cute, comfortable & versatile!

These are similar pants to the navy & white piping above but in solid black.  I ended up buying the black since they're more practical for work but once I go through my bottoms for summer I'll probably go back & add the navy to my collection.

LOVE this top!  I'm a navy girl and polka dots are my thing.  I didn't buy this top and I've regretted it since we were on our way home #baddecision.  I will probably either order online here or go back for one soon.

Loved this gingham button down found here (50% off right now!!) and these coral pants found here (40% off).  I liked the pants a lot but didn't want to commit yet (closets to clean out first) but will probably get these in a couple of colors.  Loved the gingham top but I have one similar.

Oh, and to save you some trouble if you are a Loft lover like me, the location at Eastland Mall is now closed :(  I was headed there to try on some stuff I saw on their website and it was just gone!

I am super excited to start Spring cleaning our house & closets!  I love a good clothing purge!  It makes me find new outfits in my closets and just makes everything feel fresh :)

Question, I want to sell the clothes I decide to get rid of as I transition our closets.  They are all good quality and in great shape.  Any recommendations on the best way to do that?  Facebook, online, consignment shops?
Be sure to come visit the blog tomorrow because I'll finally get to share some exciting news!!!!
