Life Lately

It's been about a month since I shared our last married life update with you and decided it was time to share another update :)  We've had a lot of big things happening in the past month and we have lots of exciting and fun things coming up to look forward to!

I started my new Jane Austen devotional and love it!

J and I took a half day a few weeks ago to just hang out & he took me to a yummy lunch at Bee Bop's and shopping downtown!  What a keeper :)

Date night to see the new Cinderella movie!  If you haven't seen it yet, go see it!  It was amazing :)

Lunch date with my family after church!  Love my Grandad and his smiles :)

Spring has sprung at The Peacock Roost!

We are currently working on redoing all of our landscaping.  I needed gloves to work in and the only ones we could find small enough were the kids size.  So Disney princesses it is!

I read this book in March.  It was pretty good, I'll probably try to rent the movie sometime soon!

Date night with my handsome husband :)

Road trip to Ft. Campbell with my Granny!

Drives on beautiful days with this guy make me happy!

Easter on the Kaelin side

Spring shopping with Darlene!  See my recap on what we found here.

Happy couple finally getting to announce their new business!

See our business announcement and more info about it here.

Spring cleaning is happening at our house!  We have cleaned out our closets once already but I think I'm going to go back through and get rid of some more soon!

My Redeemer Lives play at church with Dad & Darlene!

My lovely husband took me on a day date to see Fast & the Furious 7.  It was so good & sad!

Did a little business shopping :)

Found a new favorite spring color in my favorite polish!  If you haven't tried this stuff yet, do it.  You'll love it!

Easter 2015.  See my full recap here!
Love these people.

I feel officially ready for open toed shoes & sandals :)

I bought a new Polar Loop and love it!  It's so fun being able to track your activity each day.  See my post about it here.

Strawberry low-fat smoothies from Panera are my new favorite!

We spent a lot of time in Calhoun this weekend mowing & working on business stuff!  I even managed to get a nice country walk in.  Owning a new business is a lot of work but very fulfilling too!

While Jared was working Sunday, I tackled a new DIY project I'd been planning.  It turned out great but I'm still getting paint off my legs :)

Diaper cake I made for a family baby shower this past weekend.  See the last one I made & the centerpieces too here.

Yesterday I woke up so sick and the only thing that sounded good were Pancakes.  Sick on a Monday means you get pancakes and you don't have to count the calories :)  So thankful for my amazing husband who is taking care of me but hoping I'm completely well soon because we have a lot planned for the next few weeks and I want to be on top of my game :)

Weekend Recap

We started the weekend off with a lunch date at Panera! It was so nice to just relax and spend an hour with the hubby : ). On a side note, Panera's low fat strawberry smoothies are amazing!!
Friday after work we had to go to Calhoun and pick up my car and then grabbed a pizza & had a lazy night at home! So nice!

Saturday, we spent the majority of the day in Calhoun mowing some yards & working on some business stuff! It was a long day but we got a lot done!

I even got a good walk in : )

I got over 13,000 steps Saturday and I was so glad!

The guys doing some business talking: )

Sunday Jared had to work so I went to church with my family and then did a DIY project I had been planning! I ended up covered in paint (see picture below) but it was totally worth it and turned out great! I will share the before & after on the blog soon!

I had a lot of questions about this yellow dress in last week's Easter post.  Unfortunately, I purchased it at Macy's a few years back but I did find this similar option!

Also, Target is having a huge home sale online with up to 40% off on a lot of stuff!  Shop the sale here.

My favorite photo organizer is only $8.99 right now!  Find it here.

My favorite drawer organizers are 10% off right now with code SPRING10.  These are already cheap before the discount & super useful!!  Shop them here.

Linking up here and here today!

Happy Monday!!  Hope everyone has a good week :)  We have a busy week & fun weekend planned and I am so looking forward to it (and hoping I kick the sinus infection I acquired this weekend fast)!

Friday Favorites

It's Friday or as I like to refer to it, Fri-yay!  So excited for the weekend but first it's time to share my Friday Favorites with you.
1. My new Polar loop!

See my post about it here.  Love being able to track my sleep and daily activity :)

2. Our business cards!

We hired Business House to do our logo & business cards and let's just say they did not disappoint!  Lauren, the owner, was one of my sorority sisters in college and I am so proud of her & her new business.  If you need any marketing or advertising materials please contact them.  Visit their website here!  We are so thankful to our family & friends who are already handing out our cards for us :)

Visit www.greenpeacockowensboro.com for more info on our new business!

3. Weekends with my husband!

I love the weekends because that's when J and I get to really spend good quality time together & working on our house!  However, I'm extra excited for the next couple of weekends!  We have a busy one ahead and then have very special things planned for the following two :)  Having full weekends of fun & special things planned makes weekends even more exciting to look forward to!

4. Seeing God's plan unfold

Sometimes it's very easy to question God's plan for your life and why things happen in the order they do.  But sometimes, there are moments where you can literally see his plan coming together and go okay, I totally know why it all happened this way now.  I've had several moments like that lately and they make my heart feel extra full :)  How wonderful to know that our Creator has his hand in creating exactly what we need before we even know it!  Feeling super blessed at the way so many things are coming together in our lives right now!

5. Nars Lip Gloss

I have been searching for the perfect spring/summer lip product for years and this is it!!  Find it here in 22 colors (I use the Orgasm which is kind of a pink/peach shimmer).

6. Pedicures

I got my spring pedicure the other day & it was wonderful!  It was so relaxing and my feet are now ready for open toes & sandals :)

Have a good weekend!!

Polar Loop

I have been looking at getting an activity tracker for a long time!  I just think knowing more about your day, health, exercise, sleep etc is just great.  I did a ton of research and talked to several people before settling on a Polar Loop.
The main features that drew me to a Polar Loop over the other trackers on the market was the fact that it is waterproof, has good sleep tracking and that you can get the heart rate tracker for when you are bike riding, etc.  See more about the qualities of the Polar Loop here.

I was so excited when it came in the mail!

And I'm super excited to wear it for the first time today!

Love the digital display!
Having an office job means that I do not get to be as physically active during the day as I would like so I'm hoping that tracking my steps & activity will give me a greater picture of my activity level and encourage me to meet my daily goal :)

Do you have a fitness tracker?  Have you found it to be useful?

Favorite Makeup

If you're like me you are always looking for new makeup products to try!  I post my favorite finds every once in a while in case I find something you might want to try too.  Below are my current makeup favorites!  I'm going to do a separate post on beauty products (moisturizer, lotion, etc. another day).
Primer
Lancôme LA BASE PRO Perfecting Makeup Primer is my favorite!  It's a little more on the expensive side but makes my makeup so smooth & lasts so well that it's totally worth it! Find it here.
Foundation
Loving Lancôme's Teint Idole Ultra 24Hour foundation right now!  Lasts all day & doesn't feel heavy at all!  Find it here.
Powder
Lancôme Dual Finish Versatile Powder.  Love the way this works with my foundation and it doesn't take very much!  Find it here.
Bronzer

Lancôme Star Bronzer.  Comes in a natural glow or natural matte depending on your preference!  Find it here.
Blush
I'm currently using some old CoverGirl blush that I'm trying to use up and haven't been able to find a blush I love!  Any recommendations?
Eyeliner
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner (I use the zero-black).  So easy to use & lasts all day!  Find it here.  You can buy it in more than 30 colors!
Eyeshadow

Urban Decay Naked2 Palette.  I've had this for a long time & love it!  Love the variety of colors & you get so much that it will last you forever!  Found here.  If you have trouble getting your eyeshadow to last all day like me, this primer has really helped!
Mascara
CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion in Black. Find it here!  I was using Benefit They're Real Mascara before and liked it but a tube just didn't last me very long for the price.  This stuff works just as well if not better for me and is like 1/4 of the price!
So that's my favorite makeup for day to day wear!  Any other types I need to try?

It's such a rainy & dreary week!  Try making my Nacho Chicken to spice the week up!  Recipe found here!
