Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope your day is a wonderful as the amazing moisture we are getting outside!:

Yay for Friday!!

1. Organizing

A definite favorite this week was finishing this book!  (September book review will be posted next week).  I have some free time on my hands this weekend so I'm hoping to finish or at least get close to finished with cleaning out our whole house!  It's so refreshing seeing everything becoming more organized and I can't wait to see the final result!  I was already in organization mode anyway but I found some really great tips in this book that are really helping!

2. Shopping with Darlene
My shopping trip to Nashville with Darlene last weekend was a definite favorite this week!  See what I found here!

3. Gossip Girl

I've been binge watching Gossip Girl and I totally forgot how addicting this show is!  SO good! I have less than 20 episodes left.  Anyone have a recommendation for what I should binge watch next?

4. Divine Triple Chocolate

If you are looking for a low calorie/weight watchers point snack look no further!  I bought these at the grocery this week & they truly are divine :)  I know I've been a little radio silent on the fitness updates the past few weeks but look for those to return next week!

5. bareMinerals

I just purchased the bareMinerals starter kit to try!  Does anyone else use it?  I have used Jane Iredale before but it was a lot pricier.  I have been unable to find a liquid makeup I love so I decided to try another powder makeup!  Any favorite products from the line?

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo chicken dip is a staple tailgate and football snack in our house!  It's so easy to make, yummy and always a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients
1 Package Chicken Tenderloins
Frank's Red Hot Sauce
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Ranch Dressing
1 Package Cream Cheese (I use the low fat)

Directions
Boil chicken until done, drain, cool & shred.
In a skillet, melt package of cream cheese and 1 cup of ranch until mixed well.
Pour in 1/3 cup hot sauce (more depending on how spicy you like your dip!)
Mix in shredded chicken.
Mix in 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Pour contents of skillet into 8x8 pan and sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded cheese on top.
Bake on 350 for about 20-25 minutes or until cheese on top is melted.
Serve with tortilla chips & enjoy!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!!

This weekend went by way too fast!
Friday, I started the weekend off with lunch at Great Harvest with my grandparents!  Love those two so much!

Friday night, Granny & I treated ourselves to a relaxing pedicure!

Happy feet :)

Love this lady!

Saturday, I got my CIZE workout in (two weeks complete now)!
After that, Darlene and I went shopping in Nashville!

I saw this sweatshirt at Nordstrom and it is me to a T.

I am in LOVE with this plaid top!  The quality was amazing and I loved the colors.  I was halfway between a small & a medium and decided to hold on buying this one since I'm still working on some weight loss.  It will definitely be added to my fall collection soon though!

I love anything polka dot.  This dot texture top was so comfy & warm!

This Lush Karli shift dress is a new favorite!  It was so comfy & flowy and perfect for the fall and winter!  This was another one where I was stuck between the small & medium so it didn't come home with me Saturday but I will be picking up a few of these in different colors soon!

Could this plaid infinity scarf be any cuter?!  I absolutely loved it!

I love Lush!  I had purchased one of their tunics in the anniversary sale but I tried on the new perfect tunics that are longer and liked them so much more!  I'm sending back the one from the sale and bought this wine one.  I'll be adding a few more of these to my collection soon too I believe!  Super comfortable & perfect for work, going out, etc.

I'm waiting to really shop until I finish my closet cleanout and get closer to my goal weight but I couldn't resist leaving Nordstrom with these goodies!

I picked up another pair of BP studs that are the perfect color for this time of year.  I love these $8 studs!!!

My uniform for fall shopping!  My favorite Nordstrom Hue leggings, riding boots (similar), plaid shirt (similar) & red crossbody bag (similar)!

After we closed down the mall, we had a yummy dinner at Carabba's!

Jared had to work Friday & Saturday so to say I was excited to see him on Sunday is an understatement!  We had a lazy day of church, hanging around the house, a yummy pizza dinner at Fetta and football!  Days spent with my husband are a definite favorite :)

October Goals

October

1. Enjoy 1st Anniversary
We will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary towards the end of this month!  I can't wait to celebrate and enjoy the one year mark :)
2.  Make 1st Halloween Special
Last year, we were on our honeymoon during Halloween so this will be the first one spent in our home.  I can't wait to pass out candy to all the kids!!
3.  Apple Fest, Pumpkins, 1st Anniversary Photos
We are going to the Apple Fest, to pick pumpkins and doing our 1st anniversary photos this month!  I can't wait to accomplish all these fun fall activities!
4.  Finish House & Closet Cleanout
I have made so much progress on my house & closet cleanout so far but still have a ways to go.  I can't wait to show you all how much we're getting rid of!
5.  Make Progress on Gallery Wall
Thanks to a huge sale on picture frames at Target last week, I have purchased a large amount of the frames I need to do one of the gallery walls in our hallway.  This month I want to get photos picked out & the frames hung up!
6.  Lose 5 Pounds
I have really recommitted to working out & eating correctly this month and would like to see 5 more pounds go during the month of October!

September

1. Spend time with Jesus daily
I have been trying to turn to prayer more often in difficult situations and to praise God when good things happen too!  I want to always pursue this as a goal!

2. Continue quality time/date nights

We had some fun date nights this month!

3. Continue daily exercise & weight loss

I am down 15.4 pounds now!  I am doing the CIZE program and am working on cleaning up my diet even more and getting my WW counting back in action.  I have 19 more to go and would like to have at least half of that gone before 2016 :)

4. Clean out closets & garage sale prep

I have cleaned out so much in our house & am doing even more!  I love getting rid of clutter & losing weight has forced me to really reevaluate my closet.  Definitely getting into quality over quantity mode!  All the extra goes :)

5. Find a way to give back
Still working on finding the best way to do this!  Hoping to do something during the holiday season.

6. Fine tune daily schedule

I am definitely making progress on getting my daily schedule to the best way it works for me but I think this will be continually adjusting depending on the season and our growing business!

7. Enjoy the beginning of...FALL!!

I am loving fall so far & can't wait to really get into all the fall festivities this month!

Can't wait to celebrate our first wedding anniversary this month!  I can't believe this first year has gone by so quickly!

October & fall in general is such a special time in my heart!  I already loved the season anyway but it became even more special since that's when so many of our wedding celebrations took place almost a year ago.

We have lots of fun planned this month!  Celebrating our anniversary, a little trip, Halloween celebrations, Apple Fest, pumpkin picking and so much more!
