Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!!  Our weekend was so busy & went by so fast that I cannot believe it's Monday already! Plus, only 17 days to Christmas?!! I cannot wait to make the most of the next 17 days and enjoy my favorite holiday

Friday started the weekend off great because look what arrived...

My 2016 Erin Condren planner!!!!  I love my EC life planners and this is my 3rd year using one.  I'll do a separate post with a picture of the design I chose & the layout but I can't wait to use it January 1 :)

Friday night, we ran some errands and grabbed dinner.  We planned to watch a Christmas movie but decided to watch this old favorite instead!  It didn't disappoint :)  Now back to the Christmas movies until the holiday season is over!

Hot tea is my & my grandmother's tradition!  We've been drinking it together ever since I was a little girl.  When I found out Whitehall in Louisville was doing a Christmas tea a few months back, I knew this would make a perfect Christmas present for her!

We loved it!  Everything was so pretty & nice.

There were even carolers singing throughout the tea!  The house was gorgeous and the food and tea did not disappoint :)

We had such a great day! 

Saturday night, we had Jared's work Christmas party and I did not take ONE photo. :/

On Sunday, we went to church and then out to eat to celebrate my dad's birthday!  He is the absolute best dad ever :)

After lunch, the boys did a little target practice!

It was a good weekend but I was exhausted last night!  Looking forward to a busy but fun week :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!

This week has flown by but it's been a loooooong week too so I'm so excited for the weekend! 

My favorites this week are:

1. New blog design!

I love the new design of my blog!  A change of colors & layout makes it feel fresh and new :)

2. Christmas Movies

It is Christmas movie central in our house this month and we love it :) See my post on our favorite Christmas movies here!

3. Christmas Tree

Christmas trees are a definite favorite :)  I love having ours in the living room where we can sit beside it at night.  I could just sit in the dark and stare at it :)  It makes it so cozy in there while we hang out and watch Christmas movies!

4. The Perfect Letter

I read The Perfect Letter this week & it was pretty good!  I'll share a full review in my book review post this month but it was a fairly quick read and the story kept me intrigued.  Not the best I've read but I'm glad I read it :)

5. Anniversary Photos

I am so in LOVE with our anniversary photos!  Here's a sneak peek and I'll be sharing a post with all my favorites next week!

Favorite Christmas Movies

Tis the season for all the great Christmas movies :)  These are our favorites and staples in our house each year:

How can it be the Christmas season without this hilarious movie?!

We love all the Santa Clause movies!!

This is one of Jared's absolute favorites and is becoming one of mine as well!

I love both versions of this movie!  Definitely one of my all time favorites.

We also love all the Hallmark and ABC 25 day countdown movies too!  I can't get enough Christmas movies :) We've already watched several good ones and can't wait to watch more all month long!

Countdown to Christmas

Thanksgiving Weekend Recap

We had such a great Thanksgiving!  I so enjoyed having a long weekend off to spend with my sweet husband :)

We started off with our traditional chicken enchiladas on Thanksgiving Eve!  (recipe here)

We had a great time eating & sharing a lot of laughs with my dad's side!

2nd married Thanksgiving :)

Headed to visit Jared's side. 

Friday, we did some target shooting on the farm to get ready for our conceal & carry class!

We finished up the night with some Christmas shopping and a hibachi dinner date.

Saturday was such a good day!  We spent the day decorating our house for Christmas and watching UL get a win in football & basketball!  (Sadly, my AU Tigers lost :/)  Jared and I buy an ornament on every trip so it's always fun unwrapping our ornaments and reminiscing on where they came from.

Saturday night, we relaxed on the couch & enjoyed our tree!

So thankful for this husband of mine. 

Sunday, Jared had to go back to work so after church I took this cutie (our cousin Cooper) to visit him at the fire station!  It was so fun watching Jared show him around the fire station & truck. 

I can't believe the holiday is already over and it's Monday!  I'm so excited that it's officially Christmas season and am looking forward to our favorite time of year in our house!   

Side note: all my posts keep aligning to the left no matter what and it's driving me crazy!  Anyone know how to fix this?
