Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!!  I'm so sad this long weekend is over!  We took our annual Christmas trip to Opryland on Thursday :)  This is one of our favorite trips and it was so nice to start the weekend early!

Nashville bound!

Happily at Opryland :)  We love staying at the hotel and enjoying all the decorations!

We spent a little time at Opry Mills which of course included a quick trip to Bass Pro!

There was a new Grinch musical this year so it was fun seeing all the Grinch décor around the hotel!

We took a carriage ride around the hotel to see the outside lights!  It was unusually warm this year so it was nice to ride around and then walk around outside to take a closer look.

I love this outdoor nativity!  It tells the Christmas story & is so beautiful :)

On day 2, after a little shopping, we visited ICE!  This year it was a Nutcracker theme and SO pretty!

This nativity is at the end of ICE! each year.  It tells the Christmas story and each person lights up as they are being talked about.  Love!

We stayed in the Cascades atrium as usual and loved it!

We spent the rest of the night walking around the hotel & enjoying the lights and decorations!

Saturday, we enjoyed our last few hours at the hotel & a delicious Cheesecake Factory lunch before heading back to town!

Headed home :)  It was so nice to just get away together for a few days & enjoy the holiday season!

Saturday night was Christmas on my stepmom's side!  Yummy food & good company :)

Holidays with this guy are the best :)

We were absolutely worn out so we ended the night with Elf and some cheesecake :)

Sunday Funday! We were so tired last night but it was worth it for the amazing weekend we had : )

Stocking Stuffers For Her

I love stocking stuffers!  Jared and I do stockings for each other every year and it's one of my favorite married traditions :)  It's fun to pick out little treats for each other!

eos lip balm!  I love this lip product! You can find it at Target, Kroger, Walmart, etc.


Hand lotion is a great stocking stuffer!  The smaller sizes are perfect to carry in a purse :)



A fun ornament!  Whether it's something to commemorate a special year, occupation, etc., ornaments are a great treat for stockings!

iTunes gift cards or any gift card really are a great addition as well :)




Nail polish!  The Essie Winter 2015 collection polishes would make a great addition to a stocking!  Find them here :)

Warm & fuzzy socks!  I love these for laying around the house in the winter!  So warm :)

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!!  Our weekend was so busy & went by so fast that I cannot believe it's Monday already! Plus, only 17 days to Christmas?!! I cannot wait to make the most of the next 17 days and enjoy my favorite holiday

Friday started the weekend off great because look what arrived...

My 2016 Erin Condren planner!!!!  I love my EC life planners and this is my 3rd year using one.  I'll do a separate post with a picture of the design I chose & the layout but I can't wait to use it January 1 :)

Friday night, we ran some errands and grabbed dinner.  We planned to watch a Christmas movie but decided to watch this old favorite instead!  It didn't disappoint :)  Now back to the Christmas movies until the holiday season is over!

Hot tea is my & my grandmother's tradition!  We've been drinking it together ever since I was a little girl.  When I found out Whitehall in Louisville was doing a Christmas tea a few months back, I knew this would make a perfect Christmas present for her!

We loved it!  Everything was so pretty & nice.

There were even carolers singing throughout the tea!  The house was gorgeous and the food and tea did not disappoint :)

We had such a great day! 

Saturday night, we had Jared's work Christmas party and I did not take ONE photo. :/

On Sunday, we went to church and then out to eat to celebrate my dad's birthday!  He is the absolute best dad ever :)

After lunch, the boys did a little target practice!

It was a good weekend but I was exhausted last night!  Looking forward to a busy but fun week :)

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!

This week has flown by but it's been a loooooong week too so I'm so excited for the weekend! 

My favorites this week are:

1. New blog design!

I love the new design of my blog!  A change of colors & layout makes it feel fresh and new :)

2. Christmas Movies

It is Christmas movie central in our house this month and we love it :) See my post on our favorite Christmas movies here!

3. Christmas Tree

Christmas trees are a definite favorite :)  I love having ours in the living room where we can sit beside it at night.  I could just sit in the dark and stare at it :)  It makes it so cozy in there while we hang out and watch Christmas movies!

4. The Perfect Letter

I read The Perfect Letter this week & it was pretty good!  I'll share a full review in my book review post this month but it was a fairly quick read and the story kept me intrigued.  Not the best I've read but I'm glad I read it :)

5. Anniversary Photos

I am so in LOVE with our anniversary photos!  Here's a sneak peek and I'll be sharing a post with all my favorites next week!

Favorite Christmas Movies

Tis the season for all the great Christmas movies :)  These are our favorites and staples in our house each year:

We love all the Santa Clause movies!!

This is one of Jared's absolute favorites and is becoming one of mine as well!

I love both versions of this movie!  Definitely one of my all time favorites.
