Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!  I'm so excited the weekend is here!  We have lots of celebrating on the agenda for Valentine's Day and my husband's birthday (he's a V-Day baby)!

Before the weekend starts, it's time for my Friday Favorites!

Last weekend, we went to a Casino Night fundraiser!  See more of that fun here!

I'm excited to celebrate this guy's birthday this weekend and reminiscing on this weekend last year!  It's calling for snow here this weekend and it snowed last year on this weekend too!

After a stressful rush for tickets, we managed to score tickets to see Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood in April!  So excited!!

All of these items are currently on sale for GREAT prices!  Snag some for yourself or some to use as gifts!  I bought two of those sweaters last week & love them!  I own & love the plaid scarf & have been asked by a lot of you where it came from!  Trust me, it's crazy cheap for a scarf this cute & versatile!  A lot of these other items would be perfect for gifts!  Since I've cut my hair off it really gets in my way when working out even if I pull it up halfway so I'm thinking about ordering these headbands to use!

Both of these quotes are so fitting right now!  We are deep into business planning for the year and getting everything ready for our busy season!  We are also still in the process of cleaning out and getting everything in our house organized.  We've gotten rid of so much and it just inspires you to clean out more.  It's such a good feeling to have everything put away and neat.  I am sure if you came in our house you would wonder why we thought we had so much stuff, it's not like our closets are crazy packed.  I've just gotten into the mentality that if you don't like it or use it, then it needs to be thrown away or donated to someone who can! I have also realized that we all have so much stuff and wayyy more than we could ever really need.  I would rather buy something nice and use it all the time now than buy a bunch of stuff I don't love and let it just sit in the closet!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and Valentine's Day!

Weekend Recap

So my weekend recap is crazy late this week!  This has been such a full week and we have been doing lots of business planning, projects, etc.  I'm so glad it's the weekend!  We are so excited to relax and recharge!  Plus, it's Valentine's Day which also happens to be my husband's birthday!

So back to last weekend...

Friday night we had dinner at my Dad & Darlene's!  Dad made steak...soooo good!  Grandad came and ate with us too and it was so nice to hang out with him!

Everyone else chilling out for the night as we headed back to our town (we live the next town over from my family but it's only 20 minutes)!  Excuse the walls (they're remodeling and redecorating)!

Saturday, Jared had to work the first part of the day so I finished touching up the paint in the bathroom, visited with my grandparents and did laundry.  Does anyone else wonder how on earth they can create so much laundry?!  I really don't mind laundry, I just cannot understand how we go through so much sometimes!

Saturday night we went to a casino night to support a local sexual assault survivors agency!  It was a lot of fun and for a great cause :)

Daddy's girl :)

Sitting next to Mrs. Lucky!  For a Blackjack beginner, she hit 21 more times than I can remember!

Mann women!

Family.  Love this crew!!

Sunday was the Superbowl!  Honestly, we were so tired we stopped by a party for an hour and then grabbed takeout and finished the game at home.  I wore my Auburn shirt because I was supporting Cam and the Panthers!  I was in grad school at Auburn the year we won the National Championship.  So fun!!

I was sad to see the Panthers lose!  Honestly, I was more disappointed in the halftime show and commercials though.  The Panthers just fell apart but what the heck is a puppy monkey baby and why were there so many commercials about going to the bathroom?!  I miss Budweiser puppy dogs & little kid Darth Vader's!

I try to keep my page from being political or offensive in any way so if you don't agree with me on this then that's fine, but I was disgusted by what was allowed to go on at the halftime show.  That show is for entertainment for a football game.  I am disappointed that Pepsi allowed a song to be performed that is known to be anti-police.  How disrespectful to the police officers making sure they were all safe that day?!  You can have any opinion you want but I thought that was just wrong.

Congrats to the Broncos & Peyton though!  I know he hasn't announced his retirement yet, but I would be very shocked if that wasn't his last game.  What a way to end a career!  Side note: did you see his kids?  They are adorable!!

Hope everyone has been having a great week!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!!
Leaving work on friday memes:

This has definitely been a long week and I'm so glad that the weekend is almost here :)

I just love goal setting & monthly planning!  See my February goals here!

I mentioned last week that I was going to start doing some Shopping With Kelsey posts throughout the year to help you snag great deals for yourself and hopefully get your Christmas shopping done early :)  I decided to do the first edition today!

Scarf/Necklace/Clutch/Women's Coat/Tunic/Sweater

Everything in this graphic is on major sale except for one scarf (and it's worth every bit of it's price)!

That Michael Kors men's coat is a steal and would be perfect for the men in your life!

Initial pillows are great gifts for college students (apartment or dorm décor), newlyweds (what newlywed doesn't love a monogram?!) or anyone really!

Whiskey rocks are a great gift, especially for the guys, and these are on a great sale and very festive!

See the cheap price on that nightshirt and you'll totally understand why this is a steal!

Pajamas are one of my favorite gifts to give!  These sleep shorts would be perfect for any gal you have to purchase a present for!

Both of these scarves are awesome, the first one is on a great sale & the second I own and wear all the time.  It's not on sale but totally worth $18!  I highly recommend these for yourself & for gifts!

I've posted about this necklace before but it's worth mentioning again!  It's crazy cheap and is perfect for a birthday present, stocking stuffer or Christmas gift!

I do not own this clutch but am drooling over it!! Pink and gold?  Ahh love it!  Who wouldn't want to receive this as a gift?!

I own this peacoat & it is so nice and warm!  It's a juniors, so go up a size if you order!  These are super cute & make great presents (I already scooped up a few for gifts for this year).

I will tell you until you all listen, BUY THIS SHIRT!  I'm wearing my second one this week.  They are my favorite for the office, weekend, church, everywhere!  I can't wait until more colors come out so I can get a few more.

LOVE these sweaters!  I almost purchased one a few months ago and didn't (they were on sale in store then but only marked down to around $40) and now I'm so glad I didn't because they are $16.90!!! These are so nice and perfect for leggings or jeans!  I ordered two and can't wait to wear them when they get here!

All of these are so perfect to add to your closet now or to purchase now to save for Christmas!  I do a ton of shopping at Nordstrom and the main reason is the free shipping & returns!  I love that I can order whatever I think I'll like, try it all on, and then send back what I don't want!  Also, if you buy someone a gift from there now they can still return it after Christmas.  I love that because if someone doesn't like something, they're not stuck with it!

My sweet husband surprised me with donuts yesterday for breakfast and brought me lunch to work because I was too busy to go out!  Sometimes romance is candles and flowers and sometimes it's having someone who truly has your back :)  Feeling pretty lucky for my guy this week!

I talked about my Wet Brush before but it's worth sharing again!  I get bad headaches in the mornings sometimes (I grind my teeth even through my mouth guard) and this brush doesn't pull at all!  Not to mention, I swear it makes my hair smoother & shinier!  Do yourself a favor & order one!

I'm in LOVE with this tea set my grandparents bought me for my birthday this year!  It's so pretty & I'm still figuring out the best place to display it!  My set is made by Grace (T.J. Maxx typically has a lot of their stuff!).  I love this tea set too if you're looking for one!
We have a decently busy weekend ahead and are really excited for the Superbowl!
Have a wonderful weekend :)

February Goals

Happy Thursday!  It has been a really long week so I'm so excited that it's almost the weekend!  I didn't do any goals in January and I think that worked out perfectly because all we did in our house was be sick & watch a lot of Netflix ;)

Now that February is here, it's time to really get started on the things I want to accomplish this year!

February Goals

1. Date Nights/Quality Time

We spent so much time this month being sick that I'm really excited to hopefully get in a few date nights and some quality time that we can really enjoy more!  Netflix and the couch was nice time spent together but healthy time having fun sounds fabulous :)

2. Finish gallery wall & bathroom re-do

I have all the frames hung and ready to go & just need to finish adding photos!  Once I'm finished, I'll reveal the end result and may include a how-to post on gallery walls since I've gotten a lot of questions about how I did this one!

The bathroom painting touchups will be complete tomorrow morning!  Then I will be hunting down the decorations I have in mind :)  I'm loving how it's turned out & can't wait to share!

3. Get back on track with workouts/nutrition

When I got sick, all this fell by the wayside and continued to do so once Jared did.  I've started tracking for WW again but want to get back to being 100% committed like I was before!  I also want to get back to my workouts!  Getting the last 20 pounds off isn't going to happen just sitting still so I need to get my eating back on track and get moving.

4. Devotional Time

I would really like to get back to doing my daily devotional and spending time studying the Bible.  I always plan to but don't get it done!  This needs to become more of a priority.

Short list of goals for a short month!  Hope February is a great month for all of us :)

Weekend Recap

Good Morning lovelies!!  This weekend went by SOOOO fast, I cannot believe it's Monday AND February!

We kicked off our weekend with a Friday night of takeout, popcorn & Blue Bloods!

Tunic (on sale and SO comfy!!)/Leggings

Saturday, we ran some errands and went to Evansville to do a little shopping!

First trip to The Fresh Market! To say I'm obsessed is an understatement.  We found so many great foods and cannot wait to go back regularly!

Saturday night Jared took me to Red Lobster!  It's one of my favorites & I love their Cajun chicken pasta.  It was a delicious meal (and totally worth some WW splurge points)!

Side note on something weird.  I have totally developed a sudden disinterest in meat, especially chicken!  I ate a couple pieces of chicken from this pasta but mainly just ate noodles.  I don't know if my body just decided to be a vegetarian without consulting me or what but it's weird!   Any meal I ate this weekend I ate as little meat as possible.  I'm looking for some veggie meals or other protein sources I can eat when I just can't stomach the idea of chicken or beef.  Any ideas you all have would be greatly appreciated!  I was raised to be a meat eater so I have no idea how to handle this lol!

Doing some weekly planning :)

Pullover (similar)/Pants/Shoes (similar)

Jared had to work yesterday so I went to church with my family and then had a casual day just hanging out with them!  It was relaxing and much needed :)

For dinner, I made the fam Mix and Match Mama's Baked Queso Tacos.  They were a hit!

I bought this Christmas sugar cookie kit at Target in December but just ran out of time to make it so I decided to give it a try last night.  That dough did not ever form and it turned into the mealiest weirdest tasting cookie.  I don't think I will be buying a kit like that this year!

Hanging out on the couch after dinner!  (Excuse the renovation work starting in the background!)

Hope everyone has a fabulous start to the week!

I ended the night by watching the first half of my DVR'd GREASE: Live!  Oh boy it's been amazing so far!  I may have had a sing-a-long party last night while watching ; )  Can't wait to finish it!  I watched this movie almost every day growing up and got chills watching it!  LOVE, love, love it :)
