Friday Favorites

Woohoo!  It's Friday :)  Who doesn't love a Friday?!  I'm headed out to start my day at Pure Barre and then will be counting down until 5 when my weekend officially starts :)  SO ready for some quality time with my husband!

Not trying to sound like a broken record but a definite favorite this week is Pure Barre again!  This morning is class 9 of my 20 classes in 31 days Pure Barre March Madness Challenge!  I cannot explain how much taking these classes every morning does for me mentally and physically.

It clears my mind and makes me carve out an hour where I do nothing but focus on taking care of my body, it's helping me reach my fitness and weight loss goals, and starting my day with a tough class makes me choose healthier food options the rest of the day!  LOVE LOVE LOVE Pure Barre!

Speaking of fitness, I am back to sharing Fitness Updates on Saturdays!  See last Saturday's post here.  I will be sharing my weight loss/Weight Watchers progress, my love for Pure Barre, any new favorite healthy foods or recipes and more :)  I want to hold myself accountable and if anything I share can help other people then I'm all for that!  If you're on Instagram and want to follow my journey to a healthier me, follow me at @thefitpeacock!

Fuller House!  We FINALLY started watching Fuller House!  We only have a few Blue Bloods episodes left so we took a break and started Fuller House.  It's so cheesy and goofy but so funny and we really liked it!

When Calls the Heart!  I've recently been binge watching this show on Netflix and love it :)  I've been wanting to watch it for a while and definitely recommend it!

A huge favorite this week is getting to spend this weekend with this guy :)  March is C.R.A.Z.Y. for us and we're only going to get busier since this is our busy business season!

I just love this Happy Easter banner I bought at Target last weekend!  It adds the perfect spring touch to our mantle.  I'm looking for a few new decorations to add to celebrate Easter and spring as well!  I can't believe Spring is upon us but I'm looking forward to celebrating Easter and seeing everything bloom!  Right now it's cold and rainy here until probably next week so I'm looking forward to sunshine and pretty flowers :)

See you back here tomorrow for a Fitness Update!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday lovelies!! Hope everyone had a great weekend :)  Ours went by wayyyy too fast but I'm excited for the week ahead!

Before recapping our weekend, did you catch my fitness update post on Saturday?  I'm going to do weekly updates on my Pure Barre & Weight Watchers progress on Saturdays!

Now, on to the weekend:

I started Friday morning off with a good workout at the Barre :)

Friday night was date night!! We went to one of our favorite restaurants and I had the buffalo chicken mac & cheese which you all have seen me post about before!  So yummy & one of my favorite cheat meals :)  After dinner, we watched a movie (Sicario) and it was pretty good but very violent!

Saturday morning, I threw on my workout clothes!
Got in my LTB for the day :)

After Pure Barre, I headed off to vote in the KY Republican Caucus!  I could not believe the crowd.  It took me a little over an hour to park, wait in line & vote but it was totally worth it!  This was the first caucus in my lifetime and I don't know that we'll have another one so I didn't want to miss it.

I truly hope that when it's your state's turn that you get out and vote!! I had an older gentleman stop me and ask if I was with my parents or grandparents and when I told him I was alone, he was beyond complimentary and thanked me for making an effort to go.  I had so many good conversations waiting to vote and met wonderful people!  Please don't forget that a lot of the older people you see when you are out voting fought for our right to vote and be free or are related to someone who did.  Have the respect for them to get out and exercise those rights!! It really is the least we can do to thank them for defending that right for us.
After doing my civic duty, I headed out to hang door hangers for our business.  Two hours & 13,000 steps later, I finished up in that neighborhood.  Between that and my morning workout, I was wiped out!  I cleaned up and relaxed for a while before having dinner with my parents and hitting the bed early!

Sunday started off with a church service with our family :)  This is without a doubt one of my favorite parts of each week!

After church, we decided to get a little shooting practice in!

Love these three so much!
Thankful my guy was off work so we could spend the pretty day together :)

We made a Target run Sunday afternoon and I found this adorable Easter banner!  I didn't want to do a bunch of Easter decorating but this added the perfect touch to our mantle.

After dinner Sunday night, we splurged with some Orange Leaf while we watched Burnt!  The movie was good & the froyo was even better!

Fitness Update

Hello all!

It's been quite a while since my last fitness update. We got really off track during the holidays and I got out of my workout and tracking routine :/. Time to get back to it!  The last 20 pounds aren't going away by themselves!  The holidays are over so no more excuses!  Look for weekly fitness updates on Saturdays where I'll share my weight loss that week, favorite foods & recipes, workouts, tips that work for me & more!

Pure Barre is my new favorite workout! It's tough and you can feel changes pretty quickly. I love that it totally clears my mind and puts me in the best mood too!

I'm participating in the Pure Madness Challenge this month which is a challenge to do 20 classes in 31 days!! I like having a challenge to hold me extra accountable plus I'm excited to see how much progress I make in toning/inches lost this month!

If you're participating in the challenge too, let me know!!

Turkey pepperoni
Laughing Cow cheese wedges
Drizzle Me Skinny buffalo chicken pasta

Friday Favorites

It's Fridayyyyy!!

Last weekend & this week were both SO long so I'm excited it's the weekend!  Ours will be filled with quality time & a date night, some work for both of us, Pure Barre, the KY Republican Caucus and hopefully some relaxing at home :)

I'm off to get my Pure Barre fix for the day but wanted to share my Friday Favorites with you!

One of my absolute favorites this week is participating in the Pure Barre March Madness Challenge!  For the challenge, you are committing to 20 classes in 31 days!  I'm so excited to see how much stronger I feel at the end of the month and to see how it helps my WW weight loss progress :)

Pure Barre is such a good workout and I love how much it clears my mind and starts my day off so well!

Visiting Katlin last weekend was a definite favorite this week too!  It was so fun to see her & hear all about the fun wedding festivities this year!  Can't wait to stand by her side :)

A definite favorite is some quality time with this guy this weekend!  He'll be working some but we are having a date night and getting time to just hang out together so that's making me very happy :)

Getting organized is one of my favorites right now!  We're going into our business season for our personal business and I'm going to try to do some work in this space on top of regular life so staying organized right now is key :)  Aren't these two notebooks I picked up at T.J. Maxx super cute?!  It's so much easier to get organized when you have cute ways to do so!

I'm excited to vote in the KY Republican Caucus this weekend!  I watched the first half of the debate last night and still need to get caught up on the second half.  This election is SO important so please do your research and vote for the best candidate!

With business season starting up, our schedules are already getting crazy! I've kept my goals simple but effective for our lives for March! See my March goals here

Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!!

March Goals

Now that we've gotten more into the groove of 2016, I'm going to start sharing my monthly goals again!  March is so crazy already so I'm going to keep it simple this month :)

1. Lose 4 Pounds

I took a WW break over the holidays and have been tracking again but haven't been super strict!  I want to really focus on tracking my points & food intake this month to hopefully take off 4 more pounds!

2. 5 Pure Barre Classes Each Week

I recently started attending Pure Barre classes which I love!  I'm participating in the Pure Madness Challenge where you try to attend 20 classes in 31 days this month.  I've gone 5 times total and 2 times towards the March challenge already!  I'm hoping by participating in this challenge, I will make these classes a priority and hopefully help with goal #1 too!

3. Date Nights

Life has been so busy lately that we're running around like crazy people!  I want to set aside some time this month to just be with this guy.  Even though all our busy stuff outside of work is mainly together, it's so nice to just take a breath and hang out doing nothing or going on a date!

4. Make more Crockpot meals

We are trying to go back to meal prepping and using crockpot meals several times a week!  On busy nights these are a life saver and keep us from going out to eat as much.  It's so nice to come home to a meal that's already finished after work :)  I'm pinning lots of Crockpot recipes on Pinterest and if you all have any to share please do so in the comments below.  I'm always looking for new and easy ideas!

Weekend Recap

Whew!  Last weekend was a whirlwind of busy and I am very much enjoying being back to a more normal pace this week!

Friday, I started the day with my Pure Barre class!  I am going to the 5:30am class every day and trying to throw in some evening/weekend classes when I can.  My day is just so much better when I start it there!

Friday night Jared & I had dinner and relaxed with our shows.  He had fire school Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday and was on shift Saturday night too!  We were both exhausted Friday night and the weekend was just going to get busier.  Since Jared was in fire school all weekend, the Mrs. went on a road trip!  One of my best friends is getting married this Fall so I snuck up to Cincinnati for a night to get caught up on all things wedding and hang out!

I got on the road early Saturday morning with a healthy parfait for breakfast and of course I traveled in my favorite blardigan!!  (Side note: it shed like crazy for the first time ever, anyone else ever have that happen?!)

So excited to finally be there!

We ate at Nada for lunch and if you're in the Cincinnati area I highly recommend it!  It was my second time there and I loved it just as much as the first time :)

So happy to be reunited!! Can't wait for all her wedding festivities :)

Wedding year!!

For dinner, Katlin & her fiancĂ© took me to one of their favorite local Italian restaurants!  I don't know how many WW points were consumed but it was totally worth every one ;)

Tiramisu.  Take my points & give me the cake!

Sunday morning, Katlin & I watched Pride and Prejudice (of course!) and relaxed before I headed back home!

It was so fun to see Katlin but I was very excited for Jared to be home and to spend Sunday night relaxing with him :)
