Clarisonic

For Christmas this year I put a Clarisonic on my list.  I had been looking into these for a while but had held off because of the expense.  I did a lot of research and decided that it was worth a try and luckily received one for Christmas!

I LOVE my Clarisonic!  I always felt like no matter which face wash I used I wasn't getting all my makeup off of my face.  That is no longer a problem!  It is amazing the difference I can tell in my skin already.  I try to only use it once a day, typically at the end of the day when my makeup needs to come off.  In the mornings, I use a gentle cleanser.  I am very impressed by this product and highly recommend it to everyone!  You can find a great deal on the Clarisonic Mia 2 at this link!

Movies, Movies, Movies

It is so difficult to find good, wholesome, clean movies and even more rare to see a good Christian movie coming to local theaters.  Imagine my surprise when there are four, FOUR, Christian movies coming to theaters.

I recently saw Son of God and thought it did a pretty great job of trying to show the life of Jesus in a short period of time.  Below is a trailer for this movie and I highly recommend going to see it!

There are three more coming out that I'm so pumped to see!  The first one is God's Not Dead.  I think that this is a storyline that will resonate with a lot of young people and will also encourage open conversation about the love of God.  (P.S. it comes out this weekend and I cannot wait!!)

The second movie I cannot wait to see is Heaven Is For Real.  I believe this is going to be a great movie!  I'm hoping to squeeze in some time to read the book before the movie comes out (Easter).

And last but not least, Noah!

Breakfast Wraps

I used to make breakfast wraps a lot during the work week but have gotten majorly out of the habit of making, much less eating breakfast.  In my effort to make more healthy food decisions this year, I decided I needed to start eating breakfast daily.  Something high in protein that tasted good but that would also give me the energy to make it through the first half of the work day.  My boyfriend's mom had been making wraps similar to what I was used to but using turkey sausage in them.  Before I had always just used eggs & onions/peppers.  Turkey sausage adds a lot of protein to this meal and is very lean.  Below is my recipe for my breakfast wraps. I love them!  They're super easy to make ahead of time and can even be eaten in the car on the way to work so there's no excuse for me missing breakfast anymore.
These are the eggs I use.  I grab white or brown eggs depending on what is on sale.

This is the turkey sausage I use (can be found in the freezer aisle at Kroger)

I love these wraps because of their high fiber content which helps keep me full.

9g of fiber in one tortilla!

I sprinkle a little cheese on my finished product.  Sometimes I add a little salsa after I warm it up but I try not to.  I love that I can make these at the beginning of the week, wrap them individually, and have an easy on-the-go breakfast.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Snow.  I love it.  I know it's inconvenient and messy but it's so beautiful!  To me snow is so much fun, romantic and a good excuse to release your inner child for a short time :)
Luckily I have a boyfriend who indulges my love for snow who played in it with me even when he had to work the next day!  Am I a lucky girl or what?!  What's better than snow angels and a snowball fight? :)

Convention Center Gala

This past weekend I was able to attend the Gala to celebrate the opening of the new Owensboro Convention Center.  I was beyond impressed.   It was so much fun and it's an absolutely beautiful building!  Below are a few pictures from the evening.  I didn't take nearly as many as I would have liked, I was having too much fun :)
I didn't have time to go out of town to find a dress so I decided to take a chance and use Rent the Runway.  I had looked into this before but I just wasn't brave enough to try it.  I was so close to the final hour this time though that I felt like I didn't have another choice.  When you order a dress you automatically get a back up size for free.  Also, you can order a second dress for an extremely reduced cost (mine was $32.50).

This was dress #1 I ordered (pictures are links to the dresses on RTR):

This was my second dress:

I am SO glad I ordered two!  The first one was cute but just wasn't me.  Luckily I LOVED the second dress.  I ordered the regular length and was a bit worried about which shoes to wear.  I was surprised when it was the perfect length for flats.  My feet were so thankful when I was dancing after midnight and they were pain free :)

Oh and if you join their email list you receive a coupon for $25 off your first rental :)

The Gala was so much fun and the Sara Evans concert was amazing!!
