Today I'm going to share another sneak peek into part of our home with you as well as a DIY project! We have an awesome covered patio in our backyard that I know we're going to enjoy so much this year! Jared's parents gave us their old patio furniture when they replaced theirs last fall and I was super excited to get it out and spruce it up for spring!
It was black and I wanted to soften the look up a little to match the color scheme inside our house to the outside (I'm OCD like that!). I decided to paint it gray so that I could use gray & blue accents to keep the theme going as you walked out the back door.
This is what the set looked like before! I sanded the chairs & table and then washed off the set and let it dry.
I used Rust-oleum enamel to paint the set. It ended up taking more than I expected so I made a few extra trips to the store but it was worth it in the end!
When I work on a project, I go all in :) It took over a week to get all this paint off my legs!
Letting it all dry! We've mowed a couple times now so you can't tell I painted the grass anymore ; )
Finished product!
I'm going to add some colorful placemats and one more piece to the center & then I think it will be complete!
